Sheffield Ice Hockey Net Installation

In 2006, UK Rigging worked with Sheffield arena to design, build and install a custom, lifting ice hockey net. The net shaped to one end of the arena, is controlled by a single lodestar motor.

The chain of the motor leads to a delta plate, from which 10 steel wire ropes originate.

The steel wire ropes pass a pulley system, dividing them so until they are equidistant and drop down to the hockey net.
